Sapphirine:  Monoclinical magnesium aluminosilicate of dark blue color.  Clear pseudo hexagonal contour.  This mineral indicates a granulite facies, and appears in amphibolites, associated with corundum, but it also meets in aluminous and magnesian metamorphized rocks, low in silica.
